True inspiration

"They say, when one door closes another one opens. The question is, which one will open first."

The quote above is the ending of the short story that I wrote in English class, which I turned in this Thursday. Before I actually got myself together and wrote it, I had such a hard time deciding what to write about. There are so many topics in life worth putting down on a piece of paper, and as my English teacher put it:
"Everyone's life is a novel."
I was truly inspired by those words. It got me thinking, if a whole life is a novel, then I must have lived so long that I basically already have 5 chapters, or, 5 short stories in my head. Therefore, it can't be that hard to grab that pen and start workin' that writing hand. And so I did, and Voila! I had my story.

My room is now Gustavized. Which means I have decorated it with a desk named Gustav. The cashier at Ikea laughed and asked:
"Wait a minute, your name is Gustav and you're buying the Gustav Desk?"
Thanks William for helping me carrying it on the bus!
Now I can start working on my school stuff from home. To be honest, I get inspired when sitting at my Gustav desk facing the window with a view of Broadway and Amsterdam Ave, with its tall buildings and city lights. Looking forward to more writing assignments. The Gustav Desk force will be with me for sure!
